I enjoy exercise but I have very little tolerance for stress and right now my academic standing is of the utmost importance to me. That, and remaining emotionally stable.
As a result, as the workload has ramped up, my focus on exercise and health has deteriorated. If I’m not doing my homework or studying, I’m in class, at work, or planning out how I’m going to finish all my assignments so that I can get to bed at an appropriate time (between 8:30 and 10pm).
Still, I don’t want say I’m giving up on being healthy. Even if I can’t drag my ass out of bed in the morning to run or free of time to hit the gym, I can do little things and continue working on eating healthy.
I can also exercise while also helping myself manage stress and moods with yoga. I have a yoga dvd and a deck of yoga cards I found one day at Goodwill. I have a yoga mat I got for christmas last year. I have said I enjoy yoga and have wanted to become proficient at it but I always say these things but never follow through. However, I know the benefits of yoga and I’m going to work on making this happen.
I’m also stressed over money, which keeps me from getting the foods I want but I’m working on that as well.
I want to be in better shape by halloween, when my close friend and I are supposed to dress as “slutty Taco Bell employees” :)
